Madrid leads the list with a total of 308 accommodations available for guests with pets. This makes sense, considering it is the capital and has a wide range of spaces and activities for pet lovers and their four-legged friends: from the dog pool, to the change in regulations allowing pets on the metro, or theater sessions with pets... That's why it accounts for 27% of the demand.
Barcelona is in second place, though interestingly it is the city with the most available accommodations: 405. The proximity to the beach undoubtedly contributes to its 11% share of bookings.
Cádiz, known as "the little silver cup," has over 200 pet-friendly accommodations and is in third place. As mentioned earlier, the coast attracts many pet lovers.
Valencia is in fourth place with 131 accommodations and 9.5% of total bookings. The Valencian Community is one of the regions making the most progress in improving services for ARISTOPETERS. This is demonstrated, for example, by the opening of the beach resort for dogs we told you about some time ago, or the celebration of the first music festival for dogs in Spain.
The following cities in the ranking are, in this order, Seville, Oviedo, Tenerife, Peñíscola, Valladolid, and Mallorca. In addition, Gijón, Peñíscola, and Llanes deserve special mention because they are the destinations with the highest volume of pet-friendly apartments.
