Clapham Common tube station in London is one of the busiest in the English capital. Its long corridors are packed at all hours with people walking past dozens of advertisements.
But last Monday, the atmosphere changed for the better: 68 images of cats have replaced the advertisements in the station, causing a pleasant surprise for users. The aim of this campaign: to inspire people to think differently about the world and realize they have the power to change it.

The plan is part of an initiative that offers some of the pictured felines for adoption. The ads feature stray cats from two rescue charities, ‘Battersea Dogs and Cats Home’ and ‘Cats Protection’, two shelters that care for abandoned animals until they find a new home.
Behind this initiative is the Citizens Advertising Takeover Service, or CATS, a project that raised over £23,000 through a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.
The mastermind behind the campaign was the collective ‘Glimpse‘, which aims to use creativity for good causes. “We tried to imagine a world where public spaces make you feel good. We hope people enjoy the station and embrace a different perspective on the world around them,” the organization states on its website.

The campaign will run for 2 weeks at Clapham Common station, and we are sure that after this period, Glimpse will surprise us with another project for the good of people (and perhaps animals too).
