The 2nd Edition of #AdoptaunJubilado (Adopt a Retiree) began last week with the presentation of its #AdoptaUnJubilado 2018 Charity Calendar. At the presentation held at the Casa Real de Correos in Madrid, the organization's president, Rosa Chamorro, commented that "since its creation in January 2015, the association has facilitated the adoption of 125 service dogs retired due to age, illness, or loss of faculties, one hundred percent of those who have needed to find a home during this time."
For this second edition of the charity calendar, they have once again featured the image of Jubi, a design by cartoonist Antonio Fraguas Forges, and with the participation of prestigious professionals such as journalists Matías Prats, Julia Otero, Mónica Carrillo, and Alfonso Egea. Sports figures José Manuel Calderón, Chema Martínez, Borja Carrascosa, David Meca, Joana Pastra, Álvaro Bautista, and Toni Albacete. Music groups Los Secretos and Hombres G. Comedians like Paco Mir and Faemino y Cansado, and Pancho Varona. Flamenco dancer Sara Baras, presenters Jacob Petrus and Raquel Sánchez Silva; actors Jesús Olmedo and Jordi Sánchez; Chef Chicote; La Vecina Rubia and Mario Vaquerizo.

This campaign carried out by the NGO "Héroes de 4 patas" seeks to promote the adoption of retired dogs from institutions such as the National Police, the Armed Forces, or the fire department and offer them a dignified retirement. With these campaigns, they want to raise awareness of the great work these dogs do, work that would not be possible without their help, such as detecting substances or survivors.
So far this year, thanks to the work of this NGO, 40 dogs that served the State Security Forces have been adopted.
