We know it's very pleasant for your cat to cuddle with you at night, but it's also important to get our ARISTOCATS used to sleeping in their own bed, mainly to protect their backs.
Cats are very sleepy, sleeping up to 16 hours a day, so they will spend a large part of the day sleeping. Sleeping so many hours, it's clear that they won't always rest in the same place, but if you get your cat used to sleeping in their bed a lot of the time, you'll improve their quality of life. Here are some TIPS on how to achieve this:
Get them used to it from a young age
This point isn't applicable in all cases, but if you're lucky enough to share your life with your ARISTOCAT since they were just a few months old, take the opportunity to train them from a young age. Just as it's important to establish their spaces and some routines, try to get them used to sleeping in their bed when they feel like it. This way, you'll create a routine.
The spot
Your ARISTOCAT's bed should have a fixed spot, preferably one they like. Before placing the bed, observe them for a few days and identify their favorite napping spots. Then, place their bed there; you'll have a much higher chance of them accepting it.
Persevere
Cats can be a bit whimsical, so don't give in to them. Repeat the same actions every day if necessary until your ARISTOCAT gets used to it. For example, if you don't want them to sleep in your bed at night, pick them up and take them to their bed, and continue this until they do it themselves.
