BEFORE THE FLIGHT
It is important to know the documentation you need to travel with your pet. And keep in mind the legal regulations and conditions for transporting it, as well as consulting your veterinarian well in advance of the trip.

DURING THE FLIGHT
Your pet can fly in the cabin or in the hold. Whatever the option, it must travel in a sturdy, ventilated carrier with a waterproof and secure bottom and a good latch.
Pets in the cabin:
Your pet can fly in the cabin if its weight + carrier does not exceed 8kg. Several pets can travel in the same carrier if their size allows it and they are accustomed to living together.
Carrier dimensions: 45x35x25 cm, provided that the sum of the three measurements does not exceed 105 cm. You can buy the carrier at a specialized store. (In case of shared flights, you will need to consult the operating airline).
Your pet can travel by your legs, and you should be very attentive to its needs so that it does not disturb other passengers in any way.
Pet in the hold:
-If your pet + carrier weighs more than 8kg, it must fly in the hold. It must travel in a comfortable carrier adapted to its size.
-The maximum weight for flying in the hold is 45kg. Note that there is no maximum size established, although it is implied that these are not large animals that require special transport.
-If the flight is a connecting flight with Iberia, it can fly to the final destination without a problem, but if it is with another airline, it will have to be re-checked at the connection destination.
-Upon arrival at the destination, you can find your pet at the baggage claim belt. Our colleagues will take care of it with the utmost care so you can pick it up upon your arrival.
-They always fly in a special compartment with pressurization and a comfortable temperature adapted to their needs.
-If you wish, you can include water and food in the carrier in case it might need it. (It must be outside for staff to provide it if necessary).

-To help it relax, we recommend including its favorite blanket or a familiar toy in the carrier that gives it comfort.
-The most important thing you can do is make sure the pet gets exercise before entering the crate. If it has used up its excess energy, it will be more inclined to rest and will be calmer during the trip.
