Flush & Patricia – Sebastien
A storybook love
Flush is a novel written by Virginia Woolf based on a true story about the poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning. The novel describes the poet's life through the senses of her pet Flush. Thus, the dog is the true writer of his owner's biography. When I finished reading the book, which left me quite touched, a few days later I saw an advertisement for puppies that were for sale in the city of Halifax, and that's where it all began. It felt like a sign, and I knew exactly what to name the dog: Flush.
Flush is a whippet, also known as an English greyhound. He was the only black and white among all his siblings. We lived in London until 2013 when we moved to Madrid. My name is Patricia Rezai, and I am Flush's owner along with my partner Sebastien Vito Poletto. I am a writer, focused on the world of Erotic Poetry, which is why I felt such a connection to Virginia Woolf's novel; we are like two parallel worlds. In 2014, I met Sebastien, and just as he fell in love with me, he also fell in love with Flush; we are a very close trio.
Sebastien opened his first store in Madrid last year, called Bastien Madrid. A store specializing in working with brands not found in Madrid to bring alternative unisex fashion to the capital. It is located at Calle Divino Pastor 14, in the heart of Malasaña. Bastien Madrid works with a style strongly influenced by "streetwear and skatewear culture." We still have much to contribute to create a refreshing and inspiring space for everyone.
