Today we want you to meet a very special person. An ARISTOPETER philanthropist. Who is, without a doubt, a role model and a source of inspiration. Both for other billionaires like her, and for "normal, ordinary" people, eager to help.
Gisela Oeri, affectionately known as "Gigi" was born in 1955, in Baden-Württemberg (Germany). She is an energetic woman with strong passions who has been linked to Ibiza for a decade, where she owns a mansion. She is married to the millionaire Andreas Oeri, one of the heirs of the pharmaceutical company F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG. According to an article published in 2013 in Bilanz magazine, that year the couple ranked 14th among the 300 richest people in Switzerland.
But Gigi is not content with the title of billionaire. She has always wanted something more. That's why, for example, she was president of Basilea FC from 2006 to 2012 and took the team to the top, as you can see in this video:

Although, without a doubt, her most sincere, most selfless and most laudable passion has to do with ARISTODOGS. With abandoned ARISTODOGS. And it is that Gisela has been carrying out such commendable and discreet work for years in Ibiza, in collaboration with the Can Dog organization.
Gisela rescues stray dogs (about 1,500 are abandoned in Ibiza each year), gets them in shape, and transports them in her private jet to Switzerland, where she gives them up for adoption to people with a—presumably—strong purchasing power. So far, during the three years she has been involved in this project, the millionaire has rescued nearly 400 dogs who, thanks to her, have discovered what a better life is. She prefers that the dogs be the protagonists, as they are the heart of her mission. That's why this inspiring work she does would never have been known, if not for her new solidarity project with the Ibizan street dogs: Can Gossos.
Can Gossos will be a new shelter. Where its mission will be concentrated. There, they will deworm, vaccinate, sterilize, and microchip the dogs. And, of course, they will care for and attend to them until they recover and are strong and healthy enough to start a new life. It is precisely then that they set them on their way to Switzerland aboard Gisela's private jet. Once in the country, a Swiss family adopts them, with the condition of keeping the dogs' information and status updated, sending photos and videos.
The new dog shelter will be a facility unprecedented in Europe. And Gisela has spared no expense for the project. It is divided into six modules and will have capacity for 120 dogs. Each module has its own terrace and a large recreation area, like a park. It will have its own veterinarian and twenty caregivers, as well as a trainer to "socialize the pets."
