At the last "Electronic Arts" conference at Gamescom 2017, Europe's big video game fair, in addition to a new trailer for Need for Speed Payback, the new installment of the franchise currently developed by Ghost Games, and FIFA 18, among others, there were updates on a legendary game: The Sims.
The Sims is, arguably, the most representative franchise of DLC at its finest. Each numbered installment has featured a very long list of additional content that has forced fans to open their wallets every so often — something that is being exploited even more in the current fourth installment. In fact, it's common to spend about 60-70 euros for the base game plus 20-30 for the season pass.
The numbers speak for themselves. As of today, owning the game and all additional content packs (no less than twenty-one, that is, twelve accessory packs at 9.95, five content packs at 19.95, and four expansion packs at 39.95) means having spent or intending to spend 428.90 euros.
Well then, in its next installment, The Sims 4 will receive a new expansion: Cats & Dogs. This means that canines and felines of all kinds will land on November 10th in The Sims 4. Thanks to this, players will be able to enjoy the company and surprises that these pets will offer to their Sims, as well as the new creation tool, with which they can create and design their ideal pet. To do this, they will have a wide variety of breeds and customization elements and accessories. Furthermore, each pet will have a unique personality, so there will be no possibility of two being exactly alike — more or less like in real life.
As the game's executive producer, Lyndsay Pearson, stated: "The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs offers fans some of the most adorable and charming pets ever seen in The Sims. From dogs and cats to puppies and kittens, the new pet customization tools are so flexible and powerful that players will be able to create the pet of their dreams." And enjoy them in their virtual life as they do in real life — for those who have pets.
This new edition of the social simulation video game series, The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs, will be released on November 10th, and just one week later, the game will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One. Undoubtedly, thanks to the announcement of this new expansion, the excitement for the game's release has skyrocketed. The possibility of having pets in the game, giving them personality, and defining their traits, is very appealing, both for game lovers themselves (who see that the possibilities of The Sims are still endless, even if it may seem that there is nothing left to do or invent), and for those who also love pets.
