Dogs and advertising agencies

Perros y agencias de publicidad

We recently talked about the advantages of bringing pets to work. Advantages supported not only by pet parents (what can we say, right?), but also by the scientific community. The University of Virginia has shown that working with pets is better for everyone.

In the most creative sectors (which are presumed to be more open and flexible), such as advertising or communications, we find some cases of Spanish companies where this is already put into practice.

Bruno, the king of Rosebud

Bruno

Rosebud is a creative agency, located in the heart of Valencia, where Bruno is king. Bruno is not the Executive Creative Director or "CEO & founder".

Bruno is a big dog, a beautiful Saint Bernard of almost six years old who features in the agency's Christmas greetings, joins barbecues, and acts as a muse and source of inspiration for the creatives. You only have to see him to adore him, right?

Maggie, the key ingredient of The Cocktail

maggie

Maggie is Alberto Knapp's dog, CEO of The Cocktail, and a regular at the office. In fact, Alberto finds it hard to be separated from her. That's why he even takes her to meetings.

They say she is "the indispensable ingredient of The Cocktail" and judging by the photos on their Flickr, it's clear that it's true. Maggie can't program yet, but with how smart she is, if she keeps it up...

Paco, a dachshund has snuck into La Despensa

pacoLa Despensa is another creative agency that defines itself as "a team of people and a dog." In this case, the dog is called Paco and is a very, very handsome dachshund.

As a good dachshund, Paco is intrepid, affectionate, and playful. He surely helps the team unwind, and his presence makes everyday life at the agency much better.

Tura, Lola's dog

TuraLOLA is not a lady, but another advertising agency, where Tura roams freely in their beautiful office.

Tura is Chacho Puebla's dog, who is the Executive Creative Director of LOLA, and she usually wanders around the office at her leisure.

Tura is six years old and adopted. When her pet parent met her, she was a puppy wandering around Lisbon. Since then, they haven't been separated. In fact, Chacho and she are a package deal. If he can't take his pet with him, for Chacho, there's nothing more to discuss.

Tura is so popular that she has her own Facebook page. Although she hasn't updated it in a while. Could it be because she switched to Snapchat?

perros_alemaniaLittle by little, we will discover more companies, from other sectors, that allow pets. For those considering a job change, this can be a good criterion to consider!

Although, of course, caution will be necessary in this regard. Because, unlike other countries, such as Germany (where there are pro-dog platforms in the office, such as the "Verband für das Deutsche Hundewesen"), in Spain we are still lagging behind and do not reach the levels of Germany, where five out of ten workers are convinced that having man's best friend in their workplace reduces stress and has relaxing effects.
