The Guinness Book of Records is a reference work published annually since 1955, compiling the greatest human and natural world achievements. There are many quirky records, of course, but also extraordinary and inspiring cases.
As expected, dogs also play an important role in the history of world records. So, at ARISTOPET, we have selected some particularly notable examples for you to enjoy the fantastic things dogs can do or the surprising characteristics some of them possess. Otto, the Skater
This intrepid and fun Peruvian bulldog broke a world record by crossing the longest human tunnel in the world. Thirty people formed it, and Otto traversed it with style and confidence, riding his board. His paws didn't tremble! No wonder he's also a fantastic surfer, according to his owners…
Cinderella, the Jumper
In 2006, this beautiful greyhound broke the world record for the highest dog jump. Cinderella jumped (almost flew) 172.7 centimeters, to the surprise and subsequent euphoria of the audience. If Cindy, as she is affectionately called, had been at the Rio Olympic Games, she would have been an excellent rival for our champion Ruth Beitia, don't you think?

Zeus, the Big One
The largest dog in the world is named Zeus and measures no less than 1.118 meters. You'll agree with us that the name given to this Great Dane couldn't have been more appropriate…
Tigger, the Big-Eared (affectionately)
In 2004, we discovered one of Illinois' best-kept secrets: Tigger, the hound with the world's largest ears. He could fly, fan himself, or wear them around his neck like a scarf, because his impressive ears measure 34.9 and 34.2 centimeters respectively.

Mini-Milly
It's no surprise that the smallest dog in the world is a chihuahua. But not all chihuahuas are like the Puerto Rican Miracle Milly. Milly, to her friends, measures only 9.65 centimeters. Which means… many "aristomothers'" heels are taller than her! As you'll see in the video, Milly is a tiny, huggable cutie!
Jiff, the Fastest
Running on two legs is Jiff's natural talent. This Pomeranian, originally from Los Angeles, has broken two world speed records: covering 10 meters on his hind legs in 6.56 seconds. And covering 5 meters on his front legs in just 7.76 seconds. Quite a prodigy!
Smurf, the Skillful
If there's a smart, skillful, energetic dog with an amazing memory, it's Smurf. This terrier holds the world record for performing tricks, as he can do 32 in one minute. Without pause, without doubt. We love Smurf. As well as the understanding and harmony he has with Sarah, his "aristomother," who couldn't be prouder of him. In addition to a world record, Smurf has the Cannes "Palm Dog Award" to his credit, earned for his performance in the film Sightseers.
