To conclude the tour of the dog-friendly beaches in the Balearic Islands, we start with the capital, Palma de Mallorca.
Palma, Mallorca's economic and cultural hub, is a wonderful base from which to explore the island's many golden and white beaches. Palma's walled old town is a former Arab kasbah, a captivating labyrinth of narrow streets perfect for exploring on foot. Take the Sóller train, which crosses a beautiful landscape along its 27 km route; visit the 14th-century Bellver Castle and the contemporary art museum, and don't miss the nightlife.
Playa de Llenaire
The Pollença Town Council has enabled a section of Playa de Llenaire for dogs during the summer. This dog-friendly beach is located near the port of Pollença, in the direction of Alcúdia. Although it is a rocky and stony beach where sand is not abundant, this dog beach in Mallorca has pine trees behind it where our pets can enjoy some good shade.
This section of the dog beach is delimited by informative signs indicating the rules to be followed and the penalties for non-compliance.
Na Patana
Na Patana dog beach is located 14 kilometers from Santa Margalida, between the mouths of the Son Bauló and Son Real torrents.
It is a virgin beach with a pine forest behind it (Pinar des Revellar), ideal for a day at the beach with your ARISTOPERRO. The beach consists of sand and rock and is shallow.
Cala dels Gats
This beach is a small, quiet, and beautiful sandy area, surrounded by tamarind and palm trees, inviting you to swim in its transparent waters. The nearest port facility, Club Nàutic Cala Ratjada, is 0.4 nautical miles away.
Access by road is easy. You must carefully follow the road signs to the Capdepera lighthouse. From there, take the turn-off that descends steeply to this cove.
Private vehicles can be parked for free in the surrounding area. You can also arrive on foot, taking a pleasant excursion from the port of Cala Ratjada.
Its morphological characteristics and these accessibility conditions explain why it attracts a massive influx of local bathers. From Cala Gats, you can visit Sa Punta des Faralló or Cova des Castellàs, located under Pujol and Punta des Castellàs.
Es Carnatge
The Es Carnatge dog beach belongs to the Palma de Mallorca city council. It is a rocky area with small coves that was enabled in 2013 as a pilot project, and it is located in a protected natural area between Coll d’en Rabassa and C’an Pastilla. Dogs can walk freely in the designated areas.
Punta des Marroig
The dog beach of Punta des Marroig, located between Palmanova and Es Carregador beaches, has been adapted to facilitate access with dogs to the area. Punta des Marroig is a small, steep outcrop, where a modern garden with native plants and a viewpoint with excellent panoramic views have been installed. It has a small stone and rock beach enabled as a dog area.
Cala Blanca
It is Andratx's dog beach. It was enabled in 2014 and consists of a small rocky beach where dogs are allowed access all year round.
