Christmas is special, not only because of the decorations, food, and gifts, but because of the love and affection that fills the air. It's a time when you return home after a long time, back to the shelter and warmth with your loved ones, and above all, to affection. These are magical and heartwarming moments for everyone, both for humans and for your ARISTOPET. They feel it too.
However, there are many animals that do not have a home, who live on the street or in associations and shelters. More and more dogs and cats are found in shelters. Life in shelters is not the ideal place for animals, due to the conditions. Some are outdoors, so in winter, they have nowhere to take shelter and suffer greatly. In many of them, they cannot even meet the basic needs these animals require to survive.
Luigi's Story
Each of them deserves a home, a bed, and above all, a loving family. In the case of Luigi, a greyhound just a year and a half old, he was rescued from a marginalized area of Madrid on November 13 by the SOS Rescue team.
Lara, a member of the Amores Peludos Association, received a call from a friend, indicating that there were two greyhounds wandering in a marginalized area and one of them had very serious injuries. Luigi, fortunately, only had minor physical injuries. They quickly took him and his companion Mario, who had severe chest wounds, to the emergency room. Thanks to Lara and her association, Luigi and Mario are safe and, above all, healthy.
Last December 15, Lara, along with other greyhounds, attended the ARISTOPET event in Madrid. There, a family day was celebrated, where the ARISTODOGS were the protagonists.
Since we met him, Luigi became our Christmas goal. From then on, he became part of the ARISTOPET family with the mission of finding him a home, because he deserves it! And with your help, we are sure we will find it!
Luigi is a docile, kind, sweet, and very intelligent dog. In just two days, he has adapted to living with other dogs, even with cats. He is the perfect animal for a home; he adapts quickly.
About the Amores Peludos Association
The Amores Peludos association arose from the deepest feeling and love Lara has for animals and the dream of saving and restoring dignity to every animal she encounters. In this way, both Luigi and any other dog are looking for a home. If you have never considered adopting a dog, now might be the time.
How does the adoption process work?
Do you want to adopt Luigi and don't know how? First, you need to contact Amores Peludos (amorespeludosmadrid@gmail.com). They will send you a questionnaire to get to know you. This does not mean they will evaluate you to see if you are suitable or not, but rather that they need to get to know you.
Adopting a dog means welcoming a new member into the family, and therefore, it requires a series of responsibilities: taking them for walks, feeding them, having a walking schedule, being with them at home, etc.
Next, Amores Peludos will contact the family to introduce you to your new life companion, Luigi. In advance, you will sign the pre-adoption contract, where the dog still belongs to the association, but once the family takes the step to sterilize him, the dog is yours. And finally, the adoption contract would be signed.
