Therefore, the shelter can inform you in detail about what they are like, how they behave... and you can better assess if they are the right dog for you. In that sense, when adopting a puppy, you might get a calm one or a pure bundle of nerves. It's a lottery! So if you don't want to take risks in that aspect, a senior dog is the perfect solution.
