As ARISTOPARENTS, we love doing everything with our pets. We love traveling with them, going shopping, playing sports, sharing experiences with other parents and other furry friends at the park... We adore having them with us every day, at any time, no matter what. And as the best friends they are, they are delighted to be our life companions and to be there for everything. And, of course, that also includes when we're lounging on the sofa watching series.

Some time ago, we talked about the presence of pets in series. In a matter of years, their role has gone from simply being part of the set design (so to speak) to having relevance and taking on a special prominence at certain moments in series.
Well, this fact has not gone unnoticed by Netflix. They are always at the forefront of everything that happens in the world..., either to introduce it on their platform or to find some direct or indirect relationship that allows them to generate buzz and conversation. Sometimes they do it in connection with their own productions. But other times, they approach it from a more corporate point of view. For example, when they launched The Netflix Switch in 2015, a device that helped you create the perfect moment to watch your favorite series. Or like a few weeks ago, when they surprised us again with the results of a very special survey: Netflix & Woof.
Netflix & Woof gives us very interesting data on the consumption habits of adult users who watch Netflix with their pets. For example, that Spaniards are in fourth place among the ten countries that binge-watch Netflix the most with their best friends. The first are Indians, followed by Thais and Americans. Behind us, in this order, are South Korea, Italy, the United Kingdom, Canada, Poland, and France.
Another curious fact is that respondents with ARISTODOGS tend to prefer dramas. Narcos and Marvel – Daredevil are among their favorite options. While those with ARISTOCATS lean more towards science fiction (coincidence? We think not...) and choose titles like Black Mirror and Star Trek: Discovery. Bird owners (Netflix always thinks of everyone) seem to be more cheerful or festive as they opt for comedies. Especially Orange is the New Black. And if there's one series capable of uniting us all, felines and canines, it's Stranger Things. In fact, one of the episodes of the second season was able to get us all on our feet, as demonstrated by #JusticeParaMews, the hashtag that set Twitter on fire.

In addition to this, Netflix highlights the advantages of sharing series, blankets, and sofas with our best friends. And it invites us to do it more. Because our pets will never spoil anything for us; they will never betray us by watching episodes on their own — something that, the platform affirms, human partners and friends do. Furthermore, your ARISTOCAT or ARISTODOG will never steal the remote control from you; nor will they try to impose their tastes or rhythms. What they will do is snuggle with you, pamper you and let themselves be pampered; give you peace of mind or encouragement if a scene gets difficult... In short, they are the best allies. Both for watching a quick episode before bed and for binge-watching the new season of a highly anticipated series. And no matter what, they will never judge you for not leaving the house (as long as you take them for walks, of course) or for walking around in your pajamas or for gorging on popcorn or pizza. With them, everything is fine.
So go ahead and enjoy, or continue to enjoy, your favorite series with your four-legged best friend. Just like Netflix respondents already do across Europe, the United States, Latin America, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, and even South Korea.
