Our ARISTODOGS are a fundamental part of our lives; they are one more member of the family. We love spending time with them and having them accompany us everywhere. Unfortunately, not all establishments are pet-friendly. We can't enjoy a coffee with our dogs in every cafe.
In New York, this is no longer a problem. Recently, the first exclusive cafe for ARISTODOGS, Boris&Horton, opened. It's located on 195 Avenue, just meters from Tompkins Square Park.
This cafe is the brainchild of Coppy Holzman and his daughter Logan Mikhly. Both are dog lovers and, of course, coffee lovers. With this project, they wanted to find a solution so that New Yorkers wouldn't have to leave their dogs outside every time they entered an establishment where dogs weren't allowed.
The name of this cafe is a tribute to Coppy Holzman and Logan Mikhly's ARISTODOGS. Boris is seven years old and was found wandering on the beach. Horton is two years old.
For health and hygiene reasons, the New York Department of Health does not allow them to serve food and drinks in the same area where dogs are present. To solve this problem, they divided the cafe into three parts separated by large windows. In the first part, there is the area where customers order their drinks and food to take them to the dog section, where there are tables, chairs, a small shop, and a photo booth for taking pictures with pets. There is also a traditional cafe where dogs are not allowed.
You can enjoy a wide variety of coffees and sweets. But if you prefer savory over sweet, they also have an extensive menu of snacks accompanied by beers or wines. All this together with your ARISTODOG.
And if that weren't enough, this cafe for ARISTODOGS and ARISTOPARENTS has a charitable function on weekends. During these days, events are held to promote pet adoption and raise funds. To carry out these events, they have the help of various animal associations and shelters.
