We've been wanting to photograph Cocoliche, the beautiful, friendly, and energetic Westie of Juan Gatti, for a while now. It's difficult to get hold of him; his busy schedule, juggling work all over the world, prevents it... And it was at FRESH GALLERY*, run by the wonderful Topacio Fresh and the adorable Israel Cotes, where we met Cocoliche & Juan... and we have to confess, we're fans! We adore his creations, the way he interprets and then communicates in all its variations...
...To talk about Juan Gatti is to talk about design, photography, and plastic arts in capital letters. Because the Argentinian was the winner, among other recognitions, of the National Design Award in 2004 and the Gold Medal in Fine Arts in 2009.
Juan has not only been responsible for the covers of the most emblematic Argentine rock albums but also a talisman for other creators within Spain. Especially with the greatest exponents of the Movida Madrileña. His works for Pedro Almodóvar, Fangoria, or Mecano are already part of the collective imagination. We are passionate about them! Recently, the artistic genius has created an exuberant visual universe at the Faena Hotel in Miami Beach.
We show Juan's most endearing side: that of ARISTOPETER. Cocoliche and he form a perfect team and go everywhere together. We loved photographing him in unforgettable snapshots, full of laughter and pets!
