The ARISTOPETS terminal at NY airport

La terminal para ARISTOPETS del aeropuerto de NY

New York is the city where everything happens almost sooner than anywhere else in the world. New York is what we have always seen in the movies, but also so much more. Infinitely more. That's why no one can resist visiting it, if they have the opportunity.

But what happens when you want to travel to the city of skyscrapers with your ARISTOPET? We might think that things get complicated. And in part, that's true. Although every day there are more initiatives that make it easier for ARISTOPARENTS to travel with their best friends, as you already know.

But let's go back to New York. Specifically, to John F. Kennedy Airport. Recently, a luxurious terminal called "The Ark" (we assume the name alludes to Noah's Ark) was inaugurated to accommodate all kinds of pets and help travelers prepare their pets before flying.

The building is divided into various locations for each of the animals that land. There is, for example, a section exclusively dedicated to a maximum of 70 horses, one of the animals that most frequently travel by plane. Also, for cows, JFK will have a separate area for a total of 180 head of cattle. These sections are fully equipped with showers, ample space, and quality food.

Currently, the airport has completed the first phase of construction for the animal terminal (which cost no less than 65 million dollars). In these 16,500 square meter facilities, ARISTOPARENTS can purchase microchips, food, and all the basic services they need for their journey. The terminal also has a quarantine area for birds that arrive and need to go through this process.

Another important point is that planes transporting ARISTOPETS can enter the terminal directly. This is a very significant change as it allows animals to be transported in a much simpler and more efficient way, avoiding any type of interruption caused by stress.

Once construction is complete, the terminal will operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, just like the rest of the airport. "The Ark" will feature a luxury spa for pets to relax before flying, as well as a daycare center, an embarkation preparation center, a laboratory, and a luxury hotel for pets. The accommodations will feature all kinds of services for animals to spend the night. In fact, the rooms will be equipped with human-sized beds, televisions, family photos on the walls, and a webcam service so owners can watch them 24 hours a day. In other words, it will lack nothing and will be every bit as good as the most luxurious ARISTOPET hotel in Europe, which we told you about some time ago.

It could be said, therefore, that this is an airport for different passengers. Apparently, in 2014, more than 70,000 animals passed through the JFK airport terminals. Such an enormous influx has been interpreted as a necessity by the American government. Hence, they decided to build this innovative terminal, exclusively dedicated to animals of all kinds.

In any case, there is life beyond the stratospheric luxury of "The Ark." Of course there is! At ARISTOPET, we like to share inspiring and exclusive initiatives with you, but also other real, close, and accessible ones for everyone.
