Riera d’Alforja Beach
Cambrils has joined the initiative of other municipalities on the Costa Dorada and in 2016, it opened a dog beach, which remains open to our pets in 2019.
This is a stretch of coast located next to the mouth of the Riera d’Alforja, between the Paseo de las Palmeras and a small oasis of vegetation.
Last summer, they improved the beach by adding a shower for dogs and another for bathers, and instead of stakes, a wooden fence has been installed to delimit the canine area.
Platja de la Bassa de l’Arena
Bassa de la Arena beach (popularly known as Riumar Dog Beach) is the first dog beach in Deltebre, and possibly the best in the province of Tarragona.
It is located in the Ebro Delta, next to Riumar Beach.
With a length of almost 3 kilometers, it is ideal if you want to enjoy a quiet day at the beach with your pet, surrounded by natural spaces. Its sand is fine and golden, and the waves are moderate.
This dog beach in Deltebre does not have services, so remember to bring everything you need for your ARISTODOG.
Playa del Cementiri

Another beach in the province of Tarragona to visit this summer with your pet: La Playa del Cementiri in Ametlla de Mar allows dogs.
It is a small stony cove only 20 meters long, accessible by foot or car. Cala Cementiri is located north of the town of Ametlla de Mar, in a sparsely urbanized area and has no services.
Playa la Platjola

This is a small beach of 300 meters located in Les Timbes. It is called Playa de la Platjola and is the only one in the municipality of Alcanar suitable for dogs. The environmental and ecological value of this space is high, which is why this dog beach in Alcanar boasts the distinction of being a virgin beach. It is located south of the town, away from the urban area in a natural space. It is a gravel beach that can be accessed on foot and has a parking area. It offers daily cleaning service during the summer season.
Punta del Riu Beach
It is located south of Mont-Roig next to the mouth of the Riu Llastres. It is a small beach, 100 meters long and 80 meters wide. It has fine sand and calm waters.

The rules for enjoying this beach are the same as those for other beaches and coves in the country, but in case you have any doubts, here they are:
– Keep your pet under control at all times
– Pick up their droppings
– Try not to disturb other users
– Carry your pet's vaccination record and ensure all vaccinations are up to date
– If the dog is included in the list of potentially dangerous dog breeds, it must be on a leash and muzzled.
