Many people find it hard to say the words "I love you." It's simple and short, but it means so much that many people are afraid to say it. To love is to put yourself in the other person's shoes, to accept them as they are.
Maybe you're worried because you don't love anyone, or rather, you're not in love. Don't worry, because if you have a pet, you're certainly deeply in love with it. You can even celebrate with your pet and buy it a gift.
But do you know that your ARISTOPET can help you find your soulmate? According to a study led by Professor Peter Gray of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, pets can positively influence partner selection.
What influence do pets have on your love life?
The reason why pets influence people's love lives is that "animals are increasingly domesticated and integrated into society as another member of the family," Gray explained. This means that how they care for their pet reflects how that person would treat their partner or children.
The study data, led by Peter in collaboration with Justin Garcia of Indiana University, was obtained from a 2014 survey of Match.com users, in which 1,200 people responded, 60% of whom were women. The results concluded that women were more selective when choosing a man. And one of the reasons was because of pets.
Among pets, dogs, unlike cats, are the most attractive to people. For women, specifically, when choosing a man, they looked at how he cares for his pet, as a reflection of his capacity to care for a partner. They were even asked if they would date someone who didn't like pets, and of a sample of 727 women, 75% said no.
Therefore, women are more likely to be attracted to a person because they have a pet. And men, however, are more likely to use pets to attract a date.
