- TYPE 2 (Long, silky hair or long-haired cats): Medium-long to long; silky or thick coat; with fine, soft or thick undercoat. Examples: Collie, Golden Retriever, Bernese Mountain Dog, Border Collie, Yorkshire Terrier, Setter, Long-haired Dachshund, Maltese Bichon, Maine Coon cat, Norwegian Forest Cat and Persian.
